On Traction and ESC: The fact your tire pressure monitor is illuminated might be giving you issues. I know it's different between vehicles and especially cheap vs expensive systems, but considering this is a Toyota "Yaris", the Traction and ESC may be using the TPMS for info. If it already thinks you have low pressure/uneven pressure it may act unexpectedly.

Hey Misha, I don't know if I made in time but, If you look at the footage, you didn't turned off traction control completely off, when you've started the lap, "Expert" appeared on the dash. After the yellow flag you turned off completely as the "Expert" didn't appear, and the light didn't blink again and I believe that the steering wheel didn't felt weird again.

As much as I love your channel Misha, I think you are forgetting, not everyone is as competent driver as you, and trying to drive safely looking at all the other traffic around them, does not comes as easily to some inexperienced drivers, as it does to you, who had done 1000's of laps there. So, seeing as it is open for drivers of all skill levels to enjoy, please don't be so snobby and think everyone has to automatically see you coming from 1/4 of a mile away.

Great content!! Why do the revs go up during upshifts between changing gears? How does the yaris split torque between front and rear, is it a viscous coupling ?

I absolutely cant stand modern turbo engines with all of their stupid emissions nannys that completely ruin the feel of a manual transmission driving experience. I can see those revs bumping up after clutch in on most shifts and it annoys me because that is just putting stress on the entire drivetrain. My MKVII GLI does the same crap and there is nothing to do about it.

dont blame drivers or not looking in their mirrors, you expect drivers to be looking at their mirrors every second when they're concentrating on what's happening in front of them ? you got very close to that bmw driver forcing him to brake and turn in behind the other driver infront, atleast he pulled in. have some respect for drivers your car might be quick, but let drivers have fun. i was at a track day at blyton park these two bmw's pushing well over 500bhp were dominating the track and actually got kicked off for driving the way you did. it make drivers with lesser cars scared of pushing the boundaries because they're "watching their mirrors" instead of enjoying them selves. "theres something wrong with people not looking in their mirrors" when your about to rear end a bmw overtaking the focus which is allowing the bmw to overtake. did you not see that ? have some respect.

I love the sound of the car now that the cage has been fitted and the interior stripped out.

For the Most of Toyota's : when car is not moving you can turn everything off, but once is moving wont turn every thing off.

When you go into track mode the stupid steering assist turns on... I turn it straight back off... The expert mode is for people that think they can drive like experts 😂 can't wait to see you take it around all off and all out

you have to be at a standstill, hold it for about 5 seconds it should turn completely off that's how it works on my 2020 Toyota it's very annoying

So I noticed when you change gears you keep accelerating with your foot on the clutch which makes the revs spike up each time to red line. Are you doing this on purpose ? Isn't that going to just wear the clutch out faster...as you re engage the gear as it not rev matched.. I enjoy your videos, Regards Rich from New Zealand

Misha, check the Lane assist system... It seems you hadn't turned it off, as the Lane assist icon (top right on the central info screen) was still illuminated. I'm guessing that was tugging on the steering, not the TC. My procedure on Start-up is ignition, press lane-assist button (top right on the wheel) for 5 seconds to turn the f*****g thing off and press the iMT button. Only then can I drive away! I had TC on expert mode at Goodwood for my first track time in the GRY, and it wasn't intrusive. Having said that, I don't have your skills. Yes, you can turn it fully off with a long press of the button in Track or Sport mode. But what an awesome little car - I saw 130mph (208kph) on the Lavant 'straight'.

I’ve had it a lot with all content creators I follow Misha. It’s not just you. That and the fact GRbuild is adding 3 times as many “ad breaks” in a video. I bet they are not paying you any more though even though they’re getting more money from your content. Personally (and this is just me) I’d rather support via a Patreon type process. Subscribing on GRbuild just seems to be giving them more power to abuse you.

Misha, try holding the lane assistance button in for a couple of seconds. I’ve noticed this turns off the lane assistance & interference with the steering wheel. This is the first thing my brother and I turn off when we step in the car. Now this being said, I don’t know if after doing so you can turn off the traction off completely

I remember many carfriday laps and i thought the same....why do they have mirrors when they dont use them.... You think you can overtake and in the Last moment they come over to my Side and i Had to Brake, this was and still is Always Dangerous. You have to think for two ,cause they dont....😖
